About

A general-interest publication that runs a small number of articles, each checked for accuracy and sourcing. Who we are, how we work, and how we are funded.

Websarb is a general-interest publication. We run articles on careers, technology, business, money, health, travel, science, culture, education and lifestyle, written by people who know the subject first hand.

Why we exist

Most of what now ranks for an ordinary question is written to rank, not to be read: the same advice reshuffled, padded to length, published by someone who has never done the thing they are describing. We think there is still an audience for the opposite of that.

So we publish a small number of pieces rather than a large number, and every one is checked for accuracy and sourcing before it goes live. If an article has nothing to say that the top ten results do not already say, we do not run it. That is a slower way to build a publication and we are fine with it.

What we publish

We are deliberately general-interest rather than a single niche. The connecting thread is not a subject, it is a standard: the writer has done the thing, or has data nobody has written up, or can explain something difficult more clearly than it is usually explained.

In practice that means you will find a piece on salary negotiation next to one on a scientific idea next to one on travel. What they have in common is that somebody who actually knew the subject wrote them.

How we work

The full standards are set out in our editorial guidelines.

How Websarb is funded

We intend to fund the publication through advertising, and later through reader subscriptions. Advertising is bought against the site as a whole; it does not buy coverage, influence what we publish, or get a writer commissioned. Anything commercial is labelled as such.

You can read exactly how this works, including our relationship with our owner, on the advertising and disclosure page.

Who publishes Websarb

Websarb is owned and published by Arbsbuy LLC, registered at 7901 4th St N, STE 300, St. Petersburg, FL 33702, USA, which also runs the digital marketing agency Arb Digital.

We want to be direct about that relationship rather than bury it. The agency is a separate business with separate goals. It does not choose what Websarb publishes, it does not review articles before publication, and no piece is commissioned, edited or rejected to suit it. Where we link to it — currently one card in our footer — the link is marked as sponsored, so you always know what you are looking at. We consider a publication quietly passing ranking value to its owner’s commercial site to be a form of dishonesty, so we do not do it.

The websarb.com domain has belonged to us since 2017 and has carried other projects in that time. The publication in its current form launched in 2026.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we would rather know. Tell us through the contact page with a link to the article, and we will correct the text and add a dated note at the foot of it saying what changed and when.

We do not quietly edit mistakes away, and we do not delete an article to make an error disappear. A publication that hides its corrections is telling you something about how much it cares whether the rest is true.
